Britain pulling troops out of Iraq

On the heels of Bush seeing his lowest approval ratings ever, 32%, Tony Blair is pulling 2600 troops out of Iraq, leaving the UK with 4500.
The government declined to set out a specific timetable. “Things are going well and we hope to make a reduction this year,” said the Ministry of Defence. “The Iraqi forces are increasingly standing on their own two feet and taking the lead, so progress is being made.”

Tony Blair gets it. Drawing our forces down is what we need to be doing.

Blair and Bush were nearly inseperable during the "honeymoon phase" of the war. Now, as Bush has failed at every twist and turn of this war, Blair is leaving Mr. 3000 to face his fate.
