Congress must limit pork spending...so says the President

President Bush pledged to balance the budget by 2012 and will do so through a 5 year budget proposal.

"It's time to set aside politics and focus on the future," said Mr. 3000.

"If a different approach is taken, the next two years can be fruitful ones for our nation," he said. "We can show the American people that Republicans and Democrats can come together to find ways to help make America a more secure, prosperous and hopeful society."

This, coming from a President who has vetoed only one spending bill in his 6 years as POTUS.

Perhaps Mr 3000 finally sees the writing on the wall, disses his "compassionate conservative" values and is attempting to become the moderate POTUS.

I doubt it, it looks like more rhetoric coming from the White House.
