Mr. 3000's plan for Iraq is not a military plan, its political

I abhor politicians who use troops for politcal gain.

Administration officials told us today that President Bush has now all but decided to surge those additional troops into Baghdad to try to control over the violence there and only then could they accelerate the turnover of territory to Iraqi security forces.

Interestingly enough, one administration official admitted to us today that this surge option is more of a political decision than a military one because the American people have run out of patience and President Bush is running out of time to achieve some kind of success in Iraq.

Mr 3000 is running out of time to achieve success in Iraq...so, lets send 20,000 more soldiers over there? What kind of rationale is that? General Casey and other military leaders have opposed sending more troops. Hell, troops even oppose sending more troops.

Yesterday, Bush stated his desire to see Congress to cut pork from legislation. How much have we spent in Iraq now? Close to half a trillion dollars.

What could we have done with half a trillion dollars...
