After 11 years as an Infantryman...I'm now a cable guy with an opinion.
I saw this coming for a couple weeks. Obviously you have to compromise, but the DFL was so eager to have an '08 issue that they didn't even wage a strong pre-compromise fight.Once you get a majority you have to use it. The notion that they'll keep 85 House seats is insane. Minnesota is at best 75 seats (give or take a couple) for either party. Wimping out will not protect those who won traditional Republican seats.I believe in politics, but it's lame displays like this that make me better understand those who think it doesn't matter. We need a leader. Pawlenty generally says no to everything (sans the environment) or doesn't really fund good school reforms and the DFL leadership is too mediocre for words.
